The hammer crusher's rotor disc, equipped with hammers, is driven by an electric motor, causing the hammers to move in a high-speed circular motion. When material enters the crushing chamber, it is crushed by the impact of the high-speed rotating hammers, the impact of the material being ejected at high speed onto the impact plate, and the frictional impact between the high-speed flying material. Material that meets the particle size requirements is discharged through the specified screen holes. Material that does not meet the particle size requirements after the first crushing is crushed again by the hammers along with the newly fed material. When extra-large pieces of material enter the crushing chamber, they are blocked at the top of the crushing chamber by pre-installed support bars, and fall into the lower crushing chamber after being crushed into small to medium-sized pieces. This prevents damage to other working parts when large pieces of material enter and cause a sudden increase in load, making the crushing process safer and more stable.

Its main core components, including but not limited to the rotor, hammers, hammer shaft, perforated plate, and guard plates, are all reinforced, making it more suitable for crushing large materials. It is typically a high-output crusher used for the primary crushing stage. It is widely used in industries such as building materials, transportation, mining, metallurgy, chemicals, and water conservancy for coarse, medium, and fine crushing of materials with a compressive strength ≤150MPa and medium hardness. This series of machines combines the advantages of impact crushers and hammer crushers, featuring a reasonable structure, stable performance, large crushing ratio, uniform output, good particle size and shape, high output, low consumption, easy maintenance, and few vulnerable parts. Especially for limestone, it achieves coarse, medium, and fine crushing in one step, replacing the traditional two-stage crushing process. It requires lower infrastructure and equipment investment, and with a vibrating feeder, manual operation is unnecessary, resulting in higher output and greater economy.
