Product Description
1. Product Overview The PF Series Impact Crusher is a “Horizontal Shaft Impactor” (HSI). It breaks rock by striking it with rapidly rotating blow bars and then throwing the rock against stationary impact plates (aprons). This process repeats until the material is small enough to pass through the discharge opening. It is famous for its ability to produce a high percentage of fine materials and a product shape that meets the strictest road-building standards.
2. Why Choose a Used PF Series?
- Low Capital Risk: For a startup quarry or a recycling contractor, cash flow is king. A used PF impactor costs significantly less than a cone crusher. It allows you to start production with minimal debt.
- Easy Inspection: When buying used, the condition of an impactor is easy to verify. You can simply open the inspection door and see the rotor wear. There are no hidden internal systems like in a hydraulic cone.
- Recycling Master: This machine handles steel rebar (in concrete) better than cone crushers. If you are in the demolition recycling business, a used PF crusher is essential.
3. Key Technical Features
- High-Chrome Blow Bars: Equipped with heavy-duty blow bars made from high-chromium alloy, offering excellent wear resistance against impact.
- Two-Chamber Design: Features two adjustable impact racks. The first rack handles coarse crushing, and the second rack handles fine shaping.
- Keyless Connection: The blow bars are locked into the rotor using a wedge system, which tightens during operation, preventing looseness.
- Mechanical Adjustment: The gap between the rotor and impact rack is adjusted via a tie-rod system, allowing control over the final product size.
4. Applications
- Soft to Medium Rock: Limestone, Coal, Gypsum, Chalk.
- Construction Waste: Bricks, Asphalt, Concrete (with rebar separation).
- Asphalt Aggregates: Producing 0-5mm, 5-10mm cubic stones.
5. Quality Assurance We focus on the Rotor Balance. A used rotor must be perfectly balanced to prevent vibration. We perform dynamic balancing tests on every unit. We also inspect the Liner Plates inside the frame and replace them if they are worn thin. We ensure the Bearings run cool and quiet.
6. Common Customer Questions (FAQ)
- Q: Can I use this for Granite or Basalt?
- A: You can, but it’s not recommended as a primary solution. Hard rocks will wear out the blow bars very quickly (high operating cost). For hard rock, we recommend a Cone Crusher. The PF is best for Limestone.
- Q: How often do I need to change the blow bars?
- A: It depends on the material. For limestone, they might last months. For granite, maybe weeks. The blow bars are reversible, so you can use both sides.
- Q: What is the max feed size?
- A: Depending on the model (e.g., PF-1315), it can take up to 300-500mm stones. However, for longer life, we recommend feeding it material smaller than 300mm.
- Q: Does it come with a motor?
- A: Yes, we supply the crusher with the correct size electric motor and the V-belts.
